Phillip Gross
Senior Associate | CPA
Phillip Gross joined FMD in December 2021. He earned his Master of Science in Accountancy and Master of Business Administration from Walsh College and received his CPA license in 2025. At FMD, Phillip specializes in tax planning, tax compliance, and consulting for partnership businesses with a focus on private equity funds and high-net-worth individuals. He also has a focus on state and local taxes (SALT) for businesses.
Before studying accounting, Phillip received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Michigan State University. He has spent almost a decade working in scientific laboratories in Michigan, Georgia, and Oklahoma. With a strong scientific and accounting background, Phillip is a logical and creative thinker with the skills and experience to help you find appropriate tax strategies for your business.
When not in the office, Phillip enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games, reading, and watching movies. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
