Michael Hawkins
Human Resource Director
Mike Hawkins joined FMD in April 2026 as Director of Human Resources, bringing more than 15 years of progressive human resources experience, including over a decade serving as the head of HR for multiple organizations. A strategic and results-driven executive, he has led high-impact HR functions across diverse, fast-paced environments, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance and growth.
Experience highlights span public accounting, engineering, and construction, where he has led talent strategy, organizational development, and operational transformation initiatives. Mr. Hawkins has been recognized with the MICPA Impact Award for developing and implementing a successful on-campus recruiting program.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development from Oakland University and is both a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and a Certified Six Sigma/Lean Green Belt. He is passionate about developing talent, strengthening organizational culture, and helping organizations achieve measurable business results through effective, people-focused strategies.
Outside of the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through outdoor activities such as camping, boating, sports, and racing around the sand dunes in his side-by-side.
