Eric S. Canvasser

Eric Canvasser has more than 50 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry. After over 30 years as a sole practitioner, Eric Canvasser merged his accounting practice with Fenner, Melstrom & Dooling, PLC on June 1, 2025.
Throughout his career, he has advised his clients on all aspects of accounting, taxation, and business planning. He has extensive experience with clients in real estate, medical and law practices, and general business operations. He also taught core accounting courses at both Wayne State University and Oakland Community College.
He has a degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University and a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Walsh College.
Eric sits on the Foundation Board of Hospice of Michigan, is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants Ethics Committee and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
When not in the office, Eric loves to spend time with his family and grandchildren, traveling and working out.
