Alex Thode
Staff Associate
Alex joined FMD in June of 2022 while pursuing her Bachelor of Accountancy at Walsh College. She has quickly become a valued resource with the firm, gaining experience in a variety of fields including employee benefit plan audits, tax compliance, and tax planning. Alex plans to pursue her CPA designation after graduation from Walsh College.
Prior to joining the FMD team, she was the billing manager for a local tech company and worked on the accounting team for a multifaceted emergency service company.
Alex has served in leadership roles for several charitable events directed at assisting children in need with the necessary school supplies to complete education, such as the Annual Oak Park Backpack and School Supply Drive as well as other enrichment events.
She is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with her friends and family, assisting with creative endeavors, and trying new restaurants.
