Gary Leneway is a leading tax professional at Fenner, Melstrom and Dooling and his esteemed expertise in the industry has become an integral asset to the firm and to our clients. Gary gained his experience working in tax focused positions with a national public accounting firm and a multi-national plastics manufacture. He has a wealth of knowledge in a variety of tax services including audit defense, tax research, tax accounting, and tax planning at the corporate, pass-through and individual levels for both federal, state and local taxes. Gary’s knowledge and experiences allow him to educate and assist clients and his colleagues with sound business choices and practices.
In giving back to the profession and providing tax insight, Gary is a member of the State and Local Tax (SALT) Committee with Integra International and he sits on the State and Local Task Force for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Gary earned a Bachelor of Arts from Alma College where he majored in International Business and minored in Economics and German. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from Walsh College.
In his free time, Gary enjoys watching sports, traveling, spending time with family and playing with his dog Pete.
